The ARC Training Centre for Innovative BioEngineering is an Australian Government funded research centre for the discovery, development and manufacture of innovations at the intersection of biology and engineering.
The Warren Centre, part of the Faculty of Engineering organized the 30th Innovation Lecture delivered by Professor Hala Zreiqat AM, Director of the ARC Centre for Innovative BioEngineering and biomedical engineer at the University of Sydney.
In Hala’s words: “The lecture will describe my own ‘story’ of pursuing a research career in Science and Biomedical Engineering, and to share with you the importance of having a vision and pursuing it with everything you possess. The lecture will start by going back in time to share with you my journey to get to where I am right now and the source of the motivation that led to my discoveries. The lecture will discuss the challenges in developing these discoveries to their full potential, what has hindered and what has helped. I will discuss the importance of building stronger links with government, investors and industry”.
The BIOTech Futures Challenge 2021, which will take place on 8-9th February 2021, will give you the opportunity to be inspired by talks of our most inspirational scientists and win some great prizes, so get in there and start innovating!
